Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an extra layer of security for our customers’ data. After a user enters their username and password, they’ll be required to provide an additional verification code.
Setting up 2FA is a one-time process. Existing users will be redirected to the 2FA setup screen once it is live. New users will complete the 2FA setup process as part of their onboarding.
All Macro Helix customers will be required to use 2FA.
We’re working with Covered Entities prior to the 2FA deployment date to ensure that they are prepared for this change. In cases where CEs are not prepared for 2FA by our deployment date, Macro Helix Support can temporarily disable 2FA for that site while they work with our IT team to resolve any issues. However, disabling 2FA is not a permanent option. Support cannot disable 2FA until the user(s) is onboarded and/or migrated to Azure. 2FA can be disabled once the initial one-time setup is completed for a user (or users of a particular Covered Entity).
We’ve created articles, video demos, and FAQs to help every type of user get set up and use 2FA.
