| Ordering

The McKesson Plasma Biologics (MPB) Ordering document is a guide for ordering MPB items using McKesson Connect.  Follow these step by step instructions and pay special attention to the notes below.  To place an order using McKesson Connect, perform the following steps.

1.      Log into the MPB account within McKesson Connect.

2.      Build the order in Connect.

3.       When submitting the order, McK Connect communicates with MHI and then splits the order on screen, based on accumulations.

4..      Review the newly split order and then click the CONTINUE button to send the order.

5.       MPB invoices are sent to MHI via the 810 EDI feed which adjusts the accumulations based on the delivery of the items ordered.

Drugs that CAN NOT be ordered via Macro Helix-MPB Split:

Due to manufacturer restrictions, MPB can only sell Neulasta to 340B accounts.  Non 340B accounts (both Hospital and VA) must order Neulasta through McKesson Pharma.  Macro Helix will not split the order due to these restrictions.  Please perform the following steps to place an order.

1.      Look up your accumulations for Neulasta in 340B Architect.

2.      Place the order by phone.

3.       MPB invoices are sent to MHI via the 810 EDI feed which adjusts the accumulations based on the delivery of the items ordered.

Note: To place orders, buyers should always order the MPB item under the 340B account for Neulasta due to the restrictions.

When ordering the Soliris product the PHS and GPO/WAC item numbers are different.   Please perform the following steps to place an order.

1.       Look up  accumulations in 340B Architect

2.      Place the order by phone.

3.       MPB invoices are sent to MHI via the 810 EDI feed which adjusts the accumulations based on the delivery of the items ordered.

FACTOR DRUGS and INTERNATIONAL UNITS:

Products that Cannot be Order via Macro Helix-MPB Split include Factor Drugs or drugs sold in international units. This is due to having variable units per the same NDC, so the account that the item first starts off on will be the account that this item will split to.  Please perform the following steps to place an order.

1.       Look up  accumulations for the Factor items in 340B Architect

2.       Place the order by phone.

3.       MPB invoices are sent to MHI via the 810 EDI feed which adjusts the accumulations based on the delivery of the items ordered.
