Hospital Utilization Elements

The Hospital Utilization Elements reports display general purchase data broken up by payors and patient types. The table below contains a brief description of each report available: 

Name
 Description
Charges By Primary Payor
 Displays all hospital utilization with summed records by CDM for the selected dates. Summarized by Primary Payor. “*BLANK*” means the records were sent to us with the payor field blank.
Patient Types from Utilization
 Shows a listing of all unique patient types from the utilization for the dates selected. Summarized by Patient Type to include a count of each for the date range selected. Used to filter Inpatient vs Outpatient records.
Payors from Utilization
 Shows a listing of all unique primary, secondary, and tertiary payors from the utilization for the dates selected. Summarized by each payor to include a count of each for the date range selected. Used to filter Medicaid vs non-Medicaid records.
Unmatched CDMs & NDCs
 Lists unmatched CDMs from utilization data and unmatched NDCs purchased for the selected date ranges.
