| Maintenance | Special Drug Setup

The Gas view allows you to complete this task:

Add a New Gas

Add gas ratios and NDC relationships in order to receive accumulations for gases used.

1       From the Maintenance menu, select Special Drug Setup.

The Special Drug Setup page opens.

2       In the FILTER OPTIONS panel, click the DRUG TYPE menu and select GASES.

3       Click Refresh.

The Gas selection pane opens displaying the Gases table.
NOTE: To export the Gases table, click the export icon, and select a file format: Excel 2003, Excel 2007, PDF, or CSV.

Selection Panel

The Selection panel displays the gas drug details.

Add New Gasses

Add new NDC and percent usage for anesthesia gases.

1       To add a new gas, click ADD NEW.

The ADD NEW Gases window opens.

2       Enter the information in the fields provided.

• NDC: Enter a valid 11-digit NDC for the gas.
• Percentage: Enter the percent of gas to be accumulated.
• Active: Choose Yes if the gas is actively being purchased and dispensed; choose No if it is not.

3       Click Save Changes.

The gas is added to the system.

Delete a Gas

To delete a gas in the crosswalk,

1       From the Maintenance menu, select Special Drug Setup.

2       In the FILTER OPTIONS panel, click the Drug Type menu and select Gases.

3       Select the gas NDC to be deleted.

4       Click the Delete button.

NOTE: The deleted gas NDC is displayed in the Gases Selection panel as deactivated.

Gases Right-click Menu

The Gases right-click menu also allows you to do the following:

• EDIT ITEM: Update the configuration for the selected gas.
• DELETE ITEM: Deactivates the NDC gas percentage rule.
• ACCUMULATION DETAIL: View accumulation and purchase history for the active NDC. Go to the View Accumulations Details topic for further information.
• ACCUMULATION TRACKER: View a visual representation of the accumulation history for the active NDC. Go to the Accumulation Tracker page for further information.
• DRUG SAVINGS: Displays pharmacy drug savings by month for the active NDC.
• DRUG SPEND: Displays the drug spend by month for the active NDC.
• PRICING HISTORY: Displays the pricing history chart for the selected item.
